A three day celebration of country music in downtown Las Cruces! The event features up and coming country music acts from Nashville and around the country! The festival showcases the music this city loves and the beautifully restored downtown! Bring your dancin' shoes!

The festival begins on Friday with merchandise vendors, food, dancing, an area for kids and of course live music on two stages – all culminating with a special performance by Kenny Rogers, Dustin Lynch, The Swon Brothers, RaeLynn and Las Cruces’ very own Bri Bagwell!

Gates open Saturday at 4:00 PM but the day really starts at 8:30 AM with the Farmers & Crafts Market on Main Street also downtown. Rated one of the top farmers markets in the country, the market features over 300 locals vendors. Also make sure you head over to New Mexico State University for the NMSU College Rodeo featuring college teams from around the Southwest. The action heats up back downtown at 3:00 PM with live music on the local stage along with more vendors, dancing and activities for the kiddos. And make sure to check out the New Mexico TRUE area featuring vendors and artisans from all over New Mexico. Music begins on the main stage at 5:00 PM with Saturday’s headliner DL taking the stage at 9:00 PM!

Make sure to get your tickets for the Country Breakfast Sunday morning at the New Mexico Farm & Ranch Heritage Museum. The morning features a home-cooked country meal, acoustic performances buy festival artists as well as a western wear fashion show!

July 3 - 4, 2015

The celebration begins with an Electric Light Parade and ends with a Fantastic Fireworks Display.

Schedule of Events for the 3rd and 4th of July in Las Cruces, NM:

July 3 - The Electric Light Parade will begin at 9:00 PM at 700 N. Main St. in front of Las Cruces City Hall. The route is Church St. around to Water St. and ending on N. Main St. Theme is: "Let Our Freedom Ring."

Electric 5K Run - Begins at 8:00 PM. One mile fun run begins at 7:45 PM. Race fees are $25 in advance and $30 on race day. Register from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM Friday at Run Culture, 221 N. Main St. or online at

July 4 - Fireworks Show - This year it is going to be held at the High Noon Soccer Complex, just east of the Field of Dreams stadium, 2501 Tashiro Drive in Las Cruces. Entrance into the event's area will be from Motel Blvd. only. Tashiro Dr. will be closed and used as an exit only.

This is an outdoor show on the beautiful grounds of the Holy Cross Retreat Center. It features 70-80 artists who display a variety of fine arts, including paintings, photography, sculpture, ceramics, wood works, jewelry, and more. The show also features an enchilada dinner and other of food vendors, a silent auction, a raffle, live music on two stages, and a beer/wine garden. Festival is free to attend.

Held annually on Labor Day weekend in Hatch, NM. The Hatch Chile Festival draws visitors from all over the country. There are vendors selling all sorts of foods, interesting arts and crafts, a carnival, horseshoe tournaments, a beer garden, and of course lots of chile. Hatch is famous for the chile it produces and with the Mesilla Valley being the chile capitol of the world, what better place to have a festival. $10.00 per car load – good for both days! Lots of fun and live entertainment! Carnival on Friday September 4 runs from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM and there is also a Spanish Dance on Friday night.

The celebration kicks off with a parade along Avenida de Mesilla. While vendor booths line the plaza offering a variety of arts, crafts, games, a dunking booth and a two-day scavenger hunt, drinks and food. Scavenger hunt participants may sign up at noon at the town of Mesilla information table. There must be three or more participants per team and at least one team member must be 18 or older. There will be mariachi music and folklorico and flamenco dancers, amusement rides, piñatas and the traditional greased pole climb, with a chance to win cash rewards. It is a great day of fun for the whole family. 11:00 AM.

Free live music on the Historic Mesilla Plaza and at the Mercado Plaza. The Plazas will host free live jazz music at two venues. A special Wine Garden at each venue featuring eight NM Wineries will provide wine tasting. Horse drawn wagons will offer free transportation between the Mercado and the historic plaza. Friday from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Saturday from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM and Sunday from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Free.
